Sunny Skies camp groups enroll 11 - 14 campers a day (fewer for our entering pre-K and Kindergarten campers). This small group size provides campers with maximum participation in camp activities and individualized attention from counselors and instructors.
Fixed Session Lengths
Campers enroll by session, allowing children time to form close relationships with their counselors and friends and to build their skills through camp activities. Brief enrollments would not provide enough opportunity for campers to share the group experience at Sunny Skies. Session One is 5 weeks and Session Two is 4 weeks.
Specific Day Combinations
Sunny Skies Campers enroll for specific day combinations for their enrolled session(s). Day combinations create continuity for campers and facilitate the formation of meaningful friendships. Campers may enroll for 2,3,4 or 5 days/week.
Make Up Days For Absences
At Sunny Skies, campers who are scheduled for fewer than 5 days/week may make-up regularly scheduled camp days that they miss. There is no charge for scheduling a make-up day.
Making a Difference in children's lives Since 1974
Sunny Skies is a "Child-Centered" program. While the activities at camp are fun, challenging and adventurous, camp also provides unique opportunities for children to form lasting friendships, to learn communication skills and to feel good about their accomplishments. Our carefully selected, caring staff serve as positive role models, guiding children as fun, enthusiastic leaders and trusted friends. In addition to learning physical skills, most campers gain increased independence and enhanced self-esteem from their Sunny Skies camp experience.
Each year camp enrollment begins in January and we encourage families to make their plans early. Small camp groups are an important part of the Sunny Skies camp experience, but space is limited and groups fill quickly.
